~ Firewood , Garlic , Wild Herbs ~ It's been Busy around here ~

Hope everyone is doing well , I haven't been on the computer for a few days , it was a very busy weekend around here. I've been busy harvesting wild herbs , chopping roots and making tinctures. I've made chickweed , dandelion , echinacea , yellow dock and dandelion/yellow dock combination tinctures. As I dug the echinacea Friday , I separated the plants and replanted them , in a few years I should have a beautiful stand of echinacea aka purple cone flowers.

Yesterday , I began planting the garlic seed . We were planning to have it in the ground by Oct 15th , but we've had so much rain , the garden has been to wet to plow and get ready for planting. I got 2 rows planted , but plan to plant 2 more , it's suppose to rain today and tomorrow , so the other rows will have to wait until it dries up again. We also cut and stacked firewood yesterday , so much to do and so little time it seems. But , I'm thankful for what we have accomplished.

I've been creating each day , a couple of drawings , some pine cone crafts , herbal goodies and I hope gardening counts. I've sent Dh for batteries twice , the first time on Halloween and he forgot them , the second time he went to our local Dollar General and they didn't have any rechargeable batteries. So I don't have pics , I've got to venture out to the grocery store sometime this week , so I'll pick some up. I'll be blopping ( blog hopping today ) , so I'll be by to visit soon.

  3. I got a bunch of rechargeable batteries from ebay - great price -compared to what I've paid before - and with a bunch I never run out, for grandson's toys, clocks, radios, camera.

  4. I'm always impressed by everything you do with your garden/plants. It's refreshing to see someone growing a good portion of their vegetables and herbs. Good luck with the rest. Hopefully the weather will be nicer.
