~ Yesterday .......................................

the weather was gorgeous. My daughter had to take Little Time for a Dr's appt. , so Little Missy and I had the day to ourselves. We spent the day outdoors , we fed the chickens and found out " It takes Two " to lay an egg today (LOL).
She swung for awhile .........................................................
We enjoyed the view ...................................................
We hung the Moon ....................................................
We discovered the enchinacea was coming alive.................
then we got to work cleaning out this small herb bed , so I could plant cilantro .
Little Missy was a big help ..................................................
Yay , the cilantro is planted and covered with netting to keep the chickens out.

And the day ended with this view .................................. Perfect !!!

Hope your Day was Perfect too !

  4. That Little Missy is a cutie. Love her gardening gloves. I had a tire swing when I was a little girl and could spend hours on it. Enjoy your weekend.

Thank you so much for the comment on my Iron Angels!
I am loving that recycled part of this so much JoyceAnn.
It is rewarding that something can be used again.
I like things to last a long time and get my monies worth out of the things I buy. Our society is so disposable, it bothers me sometimes. This makes me feel better. And it also feeds my art needs too!
    Have a wonderful weekend too!

  6. Great idea to keep the chickens out of the planting area. Glad you had such a lovely day! I never thought anyone would make a hugelkultur bed because I did. I was just recording what I was doing. I am not a gardener. I have read that it can take 2 or 3 years before the beds start working depending on what is planted. I'm adding more dirt to the top so my plants will have something to grow in. I guess every bed is so different depending on what people put in it that it is hard to tell what or how things will grow.
