Friday came and still no kids , guess I didn't have an accurate due date for Jazz either. So , we're still waiting .......................
The girls are much rounder and their udders are filling up , so I'm sure it should happen soon. Guess they're waiting for bad weather (LOL) , I've been told they'll kid on the stormiest night. I feel like the first time expectant father , but instead of pacing , I spend a lot of time walking out to the goat lot to check on them.
I've been busy with my herbal studies , added a couple more post about Dandelion over at " Herbal Spirits " if you're interested.

pacing here too. Am thinking Wednesday or Thursday night since its suppose to be pretty cold those nights. I now have 3 pregnant goats from a friend. They are trying to get moved while working fulltime and aren't able to keep an eye on their goats so ask me to be the midwife. LOL. They will stay here till the kid. I am saving up for a monitor I can use to see the goats from the house. Right now the baby monitors work but I would love to be able to see them without having to walk out there every few minutes. LOL
ReplyDeletemy husband laughs at me because of my love of goats:) he knows i would love to have some, but in town, we just can't;( Your are so adorable Joyce Ann! Have you ever read any James Herriott books? I believe he says sheep choose the wooliest nites to deliver also! lol xxx
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! Can't wait to see pics of the little ones when they come. The horses in the field by the river where I walk are round and ready to birth too. Won't be long now!
ReplyDeleteSoon and Very Soon it
ReplyDeletesounds like.
So funny about feeling like
the expectant father.
God Bless You and Yours!!!
Don't give up. I tend to be over my due date by about 5 days (I like to make the human come and check me throughout the night).
ReplyDeleteStormy nights always seem to bring the babies. (I think it has to do with the change in barometric pressure)
ReplyDeleteIt will be soon......
I hope all goes well with the deliveries. I've been busy lately growing wheat grass to make juice in my new juicer and making our own echinacea capsules.
