~ Windowsill Beauty & Fundraisers ~

Lib and JoAnn inspired this photo , check-out Lib's violet jelly in the windowsill at http://libsprivateparadise.blogspot.com/2009/04/violet-jelly-and-tea-parties.html and JoAnn's blog about flowers and vases at http://piecefulquillting.blogspot.com/2009/03/flowers.html , you'll see way I was inspired . I enjoy picking flowers from the yard and having them on the windowsill at the sink to enjoy as I do dishes. The rosemary will be put outside as soon as danger of frost is past , the rosemary from last year didn't survive , so we'll try again this year.

I read in our local paper about a Relay for Life fundraiser happening yesterday , one of the local chicken processing plants was having meat sale. They had fresh boneless chicken breast for 2.00 lb. I sent DH to pick some up , we got 30 lbs , the last 3 bags . I was thrilled to add this to our freezer , great price for a great cause.

Hope you're having a Great weekend !!

  1. Love the windowsill - and the flowers. My roses are still in perfect shape - but getting dry. I think I'll hang them upside down and finish drying them, then I can use them for months.

  2. Wow what a great price!
    I found some violets in
one of the parks but not
    enough to make jelly.

I seen you were going to
    make iced violets. Great
    idea. Do you grow Borge?
    They are a lovely blue
    flower you can put in
    a glass of water or
    lemonade to enjoy.

    Thanks for Praying. I hope
they will find out what is
wrong with my fil. He feels
he isn't going to make it. I
pray that they find out what
    is wrong and cure it.

God Bless You and Yours and
    Your Creative Life and Health!!!

Hope your Rosemary will flourish in

  5. JoAnn ~ Great Idea for those roses , they'll be beautiful dried.

Flassie , I've never grown borage , just might give it a try. I do plan to make some cubes with small dandelions blooms and dianthus , when it blooms. Hope you receive good news about you FIL.

Hi Lib , Hope you have a great week too.
