and Ms. Crew is still keeping watch over the garden , she's looking a little ragged and tired. But she's still standing after the last couple of storms we've had , guess she decided she needed to keep her day job (LOL).
~ Yesterday's Harvest ~
I'm getting lots of tomatoes out of the garden now. The squash are still producing , the zucchini have slowed down though. The corn is a loss , I ordered heirloom corn this year , but I think they may have sent me field corn or it might be hard because of the drought conditions , not sure which. I'm going to let it dry on the stalk and give it to the chickens. We haven't dug our potatoes yet , we decided to leave them in the ground until the weather gets cooler. I have dug a few to cook though.
oh yum! I wish I was harvesting... well actually I harvested some wild mugwort~
ReplyDeleteYum! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Tammie ~ Wild herbs count too , I harvested a small batch of red clover from the field yesterday too.
ReplyDeleteHi Judie ~ Hope all is well with you.
Bringing in a few beans and tomatoes...which are just about finished I think.
ReplyDeleteOther than that not a lot going on.
Your pickings look good! As does Ms. Crew...she's a hearty soul!
Too bad about your corn but feeding it to the hens is a great idea!
Blessings!

It looks wonderful. Hope you get that salsa and sauce made. It's a shame that the corn didn't do well.
