Nana and Pa's Broken Tree ..............................................

You may remember this tree from back in the Spring on Earth Day , when I posted about it here ... http://feather-spirits.blogspot.com/2010/04/story-and-drawing-to-share-on-this.html . Yesterday morning we awoke to find this .......................

We've had several inches of rain this week from a tropical depression that came through , one of the trees finally gave way and toppled over. Thankfully it didn't take down the power lines , although it did hit them.

A few weeks ago my youngest daughter came over and as she was coming down the driveway , Curious J said " Awwww , Nana and Pawl's ( with his cute southern drawl ) tree broke , look they taped it back together (LOL). Hubby has the trees flagged for the power company to cut down , pine beetles have killed them unfortunately. It was such a cute tree hugger story , thought I would share it and bring a smile to you on this " Earth Day ".
