I love the goats; so cute. To avoid attracting rodants this Winter I'm thinking of putting the chicken feed in a big metal garbage can with lid. That should keep them out - I hope. I'd love to visit your famr but seeing that is not possible at this time, I'm enjoying visiting with your blog pictures.

Hi JoAnn and Patrice ~ Yep , it's been busy around here.

Hi Vickie ~ I keep our chicken feed in a metal garbage can too , works well at keeping the rodents out. Glad you enjoy the farmette pics , looking forward to seeing your chicks become hens.

Hi Hawksnestfarm ~ I make an herbal tea from the dried blossoms , the tea has many medicinal uses.

The goats are funny little
characters aren't they!

I put a photo of the ban box
and sometime in a future blog entry I will show a fabric ban
box I made years ago.

Daylilies. You know you can eat those, right? Adds a little sweetness, a little crunch and a lot of color to salads.

Hi Tim ~ Yes , I took a wild foods class a few years ago and found out you could eat them. I haven't tried them yet , but hope to soon. Thanks for the mention though , you never know when the info might not be known.
