The chickens were confined to the coop area Friday and they weren't happy about it , you should have heard the cackling when I went out to check on them. They definitely let me know they didn't like staying in one area. We haven't found out who the dogs belong to yet , Dh has been on the lookout around the neighborhood , but so far he hasn't spotted them.
I took them a couple of apple cores , they enjoyed the treat while they were fenced in.
I finally captured a decent pic of Chief Little Roo and the new hens , you can click on image for a better view.
I want to thank everyone for the kind words left on my post about losing the hens , they were greatly appreciated. Curious J handled the news pretty well , but Little Missy is mad at Shadow , she thinks he killed the hens. We were looking at pics and she saw a pic of Shadow , she started saying no , no and something about the bock , bocks. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't Shadow , but I'm not sure she understood. I guess she heard us talking about the dogs killing the hens and she just assumed it was Shadow that killed them. The hens have been free ranging over the weekend while we were outside and able to keep a close eye on them. Since I don't keep the Grands on Mondays , they are free ranging today too. I plan to keep them in on the days I have the Grands , because I can't get out there if the dogs come back. Anyway , Thanks again and I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
~ Many Blessings ~

What a cute rooster!
Your chickens looks so pretty.
Mr. Chief Little Roo seems very pleased with his ladies ;-) Those nasty dogs, maybe they're stray dogs.
Hope youre having a good wk.
Hope you don't lose anymore chickens!
