A Cute Helper and a Funny Story ................................................

I had a very cute and eager helper yesterday afternoon at feeding time.

She got busy feeding the chickens ........

then the guineas ........................................

and the goats.

Yesterday morning after our morning coffee , Dh & I headed out to the goat lot to trim their hooves. We finished that chore and headed back to the house. He showered and left to run some errands. I showered and started on the household chores , just routine everyday stuff. The phone rang yesterday afternoon , it was my oldest daughter , she said " Happy Anniversary "! I said " uh , Thank-you ", then I confessed that I had forgot about our anniversary. I told her I thought Dh had to , because he hadn't said anything about it that morning. I also told her" Guess the honeymoon's over (LOL)". She was here at the house by the time her Dad came home yesterday afternoon, she said " Happy Anniversary " and you should have seen the look on his face (LOL). He had forgotten too , he looked at me and said " tomorrow's your birthday ". He thought he was in the doghouse , until I told him I had forgotten too , then we all started laughing. We've had so much going on and some stressful news this week , that we both forgot our 32 year anniversary , we've never did that , it got away with both of us. But at least we couldn't be upset with each other , since we both forgot. As they say " All's well , That ends well " (LOL).
Hope you're having a " Blessed " weekend !

LOL! I know a couple who forgets
every year and it doesn't seem to
bother them. She says we're still
love each other and still married
and that is all that counts. They
have a lifetime to celebrate each
day with one another.

Happy Anniversary and Have a Very Happy Blessed Birthday if I am not able to get online tomorrow to wish you one!!

There is a cute little story
I see with your little helper
and illustrations to boot!

I found another spot but
the pickin's are slim.

I hope they hurry up and learn.
Lots of birds and beneficial bugs
depend on the plants and we depend
on them too.

I made a soup also yesterday.

I made another comment over at
your clover surup blog entry at
Herbal Spirits.

I have a question over there.

Thanks for stopping by!

God Bless You and Yours!!!

How wonderful that you could both forget and not be upset. That says a lot about your marriage. And Happy Anniversary - hope you both plan something wonderful together.

Did you post about Cast Iron
Skillets before? I bought an
old one, but it smells a little
rusty and I know people use them
after they clean them up. Trying
to find some good info on how to
do it. Thought maybe you had made
a blog entry about it.

God Bless You and Yours!!!

Happy Anniversary and Happy Birthday! I'd forget mine too if I didn't have a calendar reminder gizmo on the computer. Sweet photos!

I found it was, Southern Plate
that had the post about the
Seasoning of Cast Iron. But it
is for a new one. I am wanting
to use natural method. It isn't
rusty to bad. Just smells rusty.
No crusted or caked on anything.

I thought about using vinegar
and baking soda or salt. Maybe
steel wool if I can find it or
a plastic scrubber. Not sure if
the plastic scrubber will do the
trick or not.

I was reading One Man's Wilderness
Book and Dick Proenneke talked
about using pinecones of some
sort to scrub his pans.

God Bless You and Yours!!!

Hi Flassie ~ We really got a good laugh about the situation , we've never forgotten our anniversary and it was quite a coincidence that we both forgot this year (LOL). I think we do celebrate our marriage almost every day , we respect each other and try to do what's best for one another. A marriage is about us , not I.

I'm glad you found a new area to forage , look forward to seeing what you find. Let's Pray that they quit spraying and destroying the ecological balance of nature!

I'll answer your question about the red clover over at " Herbal Spirits " sometime this week.

Hi JoAnn ~ Thanks !

Hi Sophie ~ We thought it was funny too. Thanks !

Hi Lib ~ Thanks !

Hi Callie ~ Thanks !

~ Many Blessings To You All ~

That is a pretty funny story. I guess after that many years, you just assume every day is a given. You helper looks like she was having a blast!
